A creative thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, Nicola has delivered impactful campaigns for B2B and B2C brands across diverse sectors, including broadcast technology, consumer electronics, digital entertainment, travel and tourism, edtech, fintech, gaming, health tech and AI. Her work focuses on driving brand awareness, strengthening sales initiatives and generating revenue.

As Principal Technology Consultant for Futuresource Consulting, Simon is responsible for identifying and reporting on transformational technologies that have propensity to influence and disrupt market dynamics.  A graduate in Computer Science from the University of York, his expertise extends across broadcast television and audio, digital radio, smart home, broadband, Wi-Fi and cellular communication technologies.  

He has represented companies across standards groups, including the Audio Engineering Society, DLNA, WorldDAB digital radio, the Digital TV Group (DTG) and Home Gateway Initiative.  

Prior to joining Futuresource, Simon held the position of Director of Segment Marketing at Imagination Technologies, promoting development in wireless home audio semiconductors, and Chief Technologist within Pace plc (now Commscope) responsible for technological advancement within the Pay TV industry. 

Alistair is Principal Consultant for Collaboration and Pro AV at Futuresource Consulting. With a background in both operations and marketing, Alistair has a particular interest in how individuals and organisations adapt to technological and social change. 

Alistair holds an Economics degree from the University of Cambridge and has previously worked as a Business Analyst, primarily within the financial sector. 

Claire Kerrison is a Principal Analyst, specialising in Education Technology. Claire has worked for Futuresource for over 10 years. With a strong foundation in educational research and a deep understanding of the EdTech landscape, Claire collaborates closely with companies across the EdTech supply chain to identify their unique research objectives. By leveraging a mix of methodologies, she delivers tailored insights that inform strategic decision-making.

Claire’s recent research endeavours focus on evaluating the impact of EdTech, and investigating the correlation between learning outcomes and teacher training.

Iryna Kazanchuk is a Senior Market Analyst for Educational Technology at Futuresource Consulting. She specialises in global higher education and K–12 markets, focusing on AI adoption, sustainable device and software procurement, and the transition to net-zero across schools and universities.

Drawing on experience in market intelligence, sustainability consulting, and finance, Iryna delivers data-driven insights and strategic guidance to technology vendors, investors, and public-sector clients, enabling evidence-based decisions on devices, software, and learning environments. 

Mats joined Futuresource Consulting in 2001, prior to which he was a marketing manager for a corporate education provider in central London. Coming from a background primarily focused on worldwide recording media tracking, Mats has worked extensively across Futuresource’s full range of recording media, mobile hardware and accessories. The wide range of work Mats undertakes places him in an ideal position to provide market tracking, analytical and strategic consulting services to the recording media and accessories industry.  

Mats heads up Futuresource’s recording media team and has expertise covering the full market chain from manufacturing and distribution to end-user profiling, following both market and technology trends. Mats holds a Master of Business (MBA) in Marketing and Organisation Management at Lund University, Sweden. 

Karen is Programme Manager at Futuresource Consulting, where she leads business process improvements and oversees strategic projects, including digital transformation initiatives. Karen has played a key role in launching Futuresource’s new company website and driving innovation through AI pilots, aimed at creating reusable prompts and streamlining content creation across teams. 

With a strong focus on operational efficiency and collaboration, Karen works closely with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver solutions that enhance workflows and support growth. Her responsibilities include managing complex projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of business-critical initiatives. 

Khurram Ramzan is the Chief Technology Officer at Futuresource Consulting, leading the Technology and Data Solutions team from the UK office. With over 25 years of experience in technology leadership, data strategy, and enterprise architecture, Khurram has driven innovation across IT operations, cloud infrastructure, GDPR compliance, and AI-powered analytics.

His career spans roles from Technical Business Analyst to Chief Technology Officer, where he has led cross-functional teams across the UK and India, delivered scalable cloud solutions, and implemented cutting-edge platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, and Agentic AI systems. 

Khurram holds a Master’s degree (MSc Innovative Technology) from the University of East London. 

Saurav Rawat is a Data Consultant within FutureSource’s Consumer & End User Insights team, with over 8 years of experience spanning market research, data analytics, and insight delivery. Since joining in May 2021, he has been instrumental in driving end-to-end research programmes, supporting global clients with data-driven decision-making.

Leveraging his engineering background, Saurav specialises in working with complex, large-scale datasets, developing automated reporting solutions, and delivering impactful visualisations. He is deeply involved across the insights lifecycle—from research design and survey execution to advanced analytics and strategic storytelling—ensuring that insights are both rigorous and actionable.

Ted Romanowitz is a visionary product leader spearheading industry transitions in the Semiconductor, Consumer Electronics, Networking and Professional Audio Visual industries.  He held increasingly responsible marketing roles at Intel Corporation over his twelve year tenure, helping drive the highly successful Centrino Mobile Technology launch and Gigabit Ethernet market transition as well as owning the global consumer processor and chipset roadmap.   

Romanowitz begin in the Pro AV industry in the 1990s expanding the Vivatek brand for Delta Products and has spent the past decade focused on LED product management with Industry leaders Leyard/Planar and Christie Digital Systems. Currently an independent Consultant and Contributing Assistant Professor at Willamette University's Atkinson Graduate School of Management, Ted lectures, writes and consults in the areas of new product planning, go-to-market strategy, product and sales management.   

In August 2021, he co-authored a comprehensive industry report on MicroLED display technology focused on the Pro AV and Consumer Electronics industries.   

David Thompson joined Futuresource as the Lead Analyst for Projection in January 2024. He is responsible for the delivery of Futuresource’s quarterly Front Projector Market Reports and Online Projector Market Tracker, as well as worldwide forecasting for the projector market.

David previously spent four years working within the Opportunity Markets and Global Strategy teams at Sony, building a strong experience of analytical reporting in the technology sector before joining Futuresource. 

Natalie Tapera is a Lead Analyst on the Education team at Futuresource Consulting, having joined the company in 2022 as a Graduate Analyst. She plays a key role in shaping the K–12 Mobile PC Quarterly Tracker, with a particular focus on market research across the MEA and Nordic regions.

Natalie also leads Futuresource’s end‑user research, engaging with school IT decision makers, teachers, and students to uncover actionable insights. Her work explores student learning outcomes, tech‑driven decision making, and the evolving impact of integrating digital tools in the learning environment. 

Isabella Tagg joined Futuresource in 2025 after completing a BSc in Psychology at the University of Nottingham. She is a member of the Education Technology team, contributing to both K–12 and higher education market tracking. Isabella has also supported research into AI adoption and device sustainability within the education sector. In addition to her analytical work, she brings prior experience in esports from her academic years and is focused on exploring the growing impact of esports in education.

Jeremy is a senior member of Futuresource’s Professional AV analyst practice. He focuses on Professional Displays. 

In previous Futuresource roles, Jeremy was part of the Imaging analyst team covering the consumer camera and photo output markets and, prior to this, a member of the Home Entertainment analyst team, tracking the global pre-recorded media manufacturing and storage media sectors. 

Jeremy has managed two research and analysis teams during his years with Futuresource, as well a wide variety of syndicated and custom research projects. 

Jeremy joined Futuresource Consulting in 2001. He holds a degree in French from Kings College, University of London. 

Johnny is a Senior Business Development Manager at Futuresource, specializing in Professional AV with a particular focus on Professional Displays and Collaboration solutions. With over 15 years of experience in Market Research and Business Intelligence, Johnny works consultatively with clients to help shape strategies, identify growth opportunities, and ensure they get maximum value from Futuresource’s insights. He’s passionate about building strong partnerships and turning data into actionable business decisions that drive success. 

Outside of work, Johnny is a dedicated dad to two young daughters, which means plenty of dress-up games and family fun. When he’s not in the office or on dad duty, you’ll find him experimenting in the kitchen, enjoying great food, or staying active - whether that’s running, playing tennis, or (sometimes) enjoying watching Chelsea. 

Dave Watkins leads Futuresource’s Consumer Electronics and Entertainment research and analysis team, overseeing and driving the strategic vision for the team’s syndicated and custom research portfolio.

Dave joined Futuresource in November 2025, bringing more than 20 years of senior leadership experience, including nearly a decade as Practice Lead for the Media % Intelligent Home group at Strategy Analytics. More recently, he served as VP of Consumer Electronics at TechInsights, overseeing global research programmes and shaping client strategy at scale.

No stranger to Futuresource, Dave began his career with the company in 2006 where he gained extensive experience in delivering actionable insights to vendors, operators, component suppliers and resellers across the consumer technology landscape.

Dave regularly contributes to industry events, delivering thought leadership that influences and inspires key decision makers across the connected home ecosystem.
