The Danish Video market recovered well after the pandemic and continues to have a strong outlook, with all the segments (excluding packaged) projected to grow. Pay-TV is the backbone of the market, generating half of its revenue and supporting SVoD uptake. SVoD is the main driving force of the market growth with both adoption and average spend increasing.
The theatrical segment has seen strong slate-driven growth in 2022 but is not expected to return to pre-pandemic levels in the forecast period. Theatrical, together with transactional, will remain the smaller categories compared to SVoD and Pay-TV, as most new releases will be consumed on SVoD platforms.
