2022 has been another year of stable growth in Norway, as the pandemic only slowed down the video entertainment market. Pay-TV provides a solid foundation, generating 57% of revenues, and supporting SVoD growth through bundling and aggregation. SVoD remains the key driver of growth, although the pace is the smallest in Nordics due to the already high market saturation.
The return of a full year of theatrical slate into cinemas has driven the growth. Yet, as per all Nordic markets, a return to pre-pandemic revenues is not expected in the forecast period. Theatrical together with transactional will remain comparatively small, as the consumption of most of the new releases is expected to move to SVoD.
